About us

A planning studio, not an events factory

Sims Langford Events is an event management company based in Philadelphia. We take on a limited number of events at a time so each one keeps a named planner and a schedule that holds.

Who we are

Built around the details guests never notice

We plan corporate programs, weddings and private celebrations from our office at 1650 Market Street, Suite 3600, Philadelphia, PA 19103. Most of our work comes from repeat clients and referrals, which is why we would rather quote a realistic scope than win a booking on an optimistic number.

Our team works across planning, production and on-site coordination. That means the person who writes your run-of-show is the person standing in the room when doors open — no handover, no gap in context.

We work with an established network of venues, caterers, florists, AV crews and performers across the region. Those suppliers are engaged transparently and their costs appear as line items in your proposal.

Mission

To take the logistical weight of an event off our clients so they can be present at their own occasion.

Vision

To be the planning studio Philadelphia clients recommend because the work was calm, transparent and well run.

What we will not do

We do not promise outcomes we cannot control, quote below cost to win work, or take on more events in a weekend than our team can staff properly.

Our values

Four things we hold to

Honest budgets

We quote what an event actually costs and flag trade-offs early rather than discovering them late.

Respect for time

Schedules are built to be kept — for you, for guests and for the suppliers working the room.

Care for guests

Accessibility, dietary needs and comfort are planned in from the start, not patched on the day.

Considered design

Styling should serve the occasion. We build one coherent look instead of assembling trends.

Our process

How an event moves through the studio

The same five stages apply whether we are planning a 30-guest dinner or a two-day conference.

  1. 01

    Consultation

A no-cost call to understand the occasion, guest count, date range and budget you are working with.

  2. 02

    Proposal & Budget

A written proposal with scope, itemized budget and a planning timeline you can review before committing.

  3. 03

    Design & Sourcing

Concept boards, venue shortlists and vendor selection, confirmed with you at each decision point.

  4. 04

    Production Planning

Run-of-show, floor plans, load-in schedules and supplier briefings assembled into one working document.

  5. 05

    Event Day & Wrap-Up

On-site coordination from load-in to strike, followed by final reconciliation and a wrap-up summary.
